  • Comments Off on The Duke of Cambridge meets front line emergency service and transport industry workers today, to talk about male suicide. These services have unique insight supporting each other after responding to suicide call outs and also to save lives by talking people back from the brink. Working with CALM and the Samaritans, they hope to use these skills to help men talk to their friends who feel depressed or down, and prevent suicides. This is in response to the fact that 76% of people who commit suicide are men – and suicide is the biggest single killer of men under 45 in the UK. The Duke, who has experienced this himself in his work as an Air Ambulance Pilot, wanted to show support for this important work.
